You can be in ‘The Comedy of Errors’

In its 18th Season, Merced Shakespearefest invites actors to audition for the popular slapstick comedy “The Comedy of Errors” on Saturday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at the MAC, the Merced Arts Center, on 645 W. Main Street, in downtown Merced.
Performance dates will be Sept. 14, 15, 21, 22 at Applegate Park in Merced, and possibly one more weekend in Mariposa.
This early Shakespeare comedy is a madcap farce, featuring not only one, but two sets of identical twins. It plays with twisted and loopy situations, and has the happy ending of a family reunited.
The show is directed by Andrew Burkum.
Some 16 – 20 actors are needed. Shakespearefest directors encourage all ages and genders to audition. In audition, actors will be provided with scene texts to read. Shakespeare monologues are not mandatory, but will be enjoyed!
