The Shrimp Boats Are A Coming
Like shrimp, and lots of it? Merced Sunrise Rotary is holding its Annual All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp Feed this St. Patrick’s Day Eve, Saturday, March 16th at the Merced Fairgrounds Pavilion Building. We invite you to join friends and neighbors for a full-filled evening to benefit some very important causes.
The dinner features mounds and mounds of delicious shrimp on ice, served with a special cocktail sauce. Included will be homemade pasta, green salad, and garlic-French bread. A dessert auction and prize drawings will round out the evening.
The evening begins with a no-host social hour at 5:45 pm with dinner served at 7 pm. Your $50 ticket includes a $30 donation and will benefit the many service projects of the Merced Sunrise Rotary. Every ticket holder in attendance will also be entered into a drawing for $1000 cash.
Locally, we support Special Olympics, the Merced Symphony, the Boys & Girls Club, CASA, Castle Air Museum and the Merced Rescue Mission. We provide leadership training for local high school students at Camp RYLA, adopt over 100 families at Christmas to shop for school clothes, and sponsor both the UC Merced Rotaract and the Merced High Interact clubs. We provide scholarships for local high school and Merced College students and we coordinate the Veteran’s Week Field of Honor flag display at Merced College.
International programs supported by Merced Sunrise Rotary include the eradication of polio world-wide, an international microfinance project, and medical, water, and humanitarian projects in Merced’s sister city, Somoto, Nicaragua.
Tickets for the All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp Feed are limited and are available from any Merced Sunrise Rotary member. For more information, call 723-1691.
