Symphony Wows Local Students At Merced Theatre
The Merced Symphony Orchestra and violinist Dawn Harms performed for more than 2,500 students from Atwater, El Nido, Weaver, McSwain, Merced City, Merced River, Plainsburg, Planada and Winton School Districts at the historic Merced Theatre as part of the recent Children’s Concert series, presented by the Merced Symphony Association. The symphony also performed in Los Banos for more than 800 4th grade students from the Los Banos Unified School District.
Performance sessions included orchestral works designed to engage younger students in grades 3 through 5.
The Children’s Concerts continue to introduce young Merced County students to the world of classical music in an engaging way with interactive elements and student participation.
The symphony performs multiple 50-minute Children’s Concerts for students throughout the year.
