Rainbird restaurant begins ‘Taste of Wine Country’ dinner series

Rainbird, the newly opened fine dining restaurant inside the El Capitan Hotel in downtown Merced, has started its Taste of Wine Country Dinner Series, welcoming California-based wineries.

Held on the first Thursday of every month through March, guests will experience a specially curated wine pairing multi-course tasting menu experience from Executive Chef Quentin Garcia, which will be sourced from local and regional farms with a focus on vegetable-forward and hyperseasonal ingredients, highlighting Garcia’s deep relationships with the community and surrounding agricultural region.

Oct. 6 – Sevtap Winery, Santa Barbara County

Nov. 3 – Rombauer Vineyards, Napa Valley

Dec. 1 – Brander Vineyard, Santa Barbara County

Jan. 5 — Taplas Creek Winery, Paso Robles

Feb 2 — Jaffurs Wine Cellars, Santa Barbara

March 2 — Silver Oak Winery Napa Valley
