Unfortunately, due to rain and wind, the Cinco de Mayo Mercado Night Market was called off shortly after everything was set up last Thursday, May 4.
However, in spite of what Mother Nature had planned, many people came out to support as well as enjoy the event.
“Thank you to all the community organizations, nonprofits, food vendors, and small artisans that came out to support the Mercado Night Market tonight,” said Mercado organizer, Annissa Fragoso. “Due to the weather, we are going to request from the city if we can have a do-over in the next two to three weeks, so that we can kick the night Market off the way we need to. We will definitely put out a press release as soon as we hear back from the city.”
