The start of the Merced County Fair on Wednesday, June 8, will mark the return of one of this region’s largest and most beloved community events that was sorely missed during the last two pandemic years.

It’s a celebratory sign, if you will, of a return to normal.

As such, fair organizers are promising a County Fair that’s ‘bigger than ever’ and packed with live entertainment from touring stars to local performers, thrilling carnival rides, powerful auto racing and bull riding, wonderful livestock shows, amazing community and commercial exhibits, and delicious fair food vendors everywhere you look.

And the best part: It’s affordable for families at a time when prices are surging everywhere else. This year, children 12 and under get in FREE. Not to mention: Everyone can get a FREE admission ticket for opening night by joining the “Feed Our Community” Early Food Drive.

It all starts June 8 with the Dignity Health — Mercy Medical Center “We Care Wednesday” presented by MERCO Credit Union. Oh, and that’s the evening when all seniors 62 or better get in FREE!
