Karen Janes is one of the newest members of Arbor Art Gallery and is Artist of the Month for November.
Janes describes herself as a “self-taught artist with a passion for painting.”
“My works are expressions of nature, imagination, and spirit; the three most important elements of my life,” she says.
Janes began painting in 2021 and uses mixed media, acrylic, pastels, and charcoal. Most recently she has been accepted as an ARTREE Artist. Her work is currently on display at Arbor Gallery.
Meanwhile, Christmas has arrived at Arbor Gallery.
The gallery has been filled with new art and the hallway theme is pur-ple. There are Christmas ornaments, quilts, earrings and many more ideal Christmas gifts. The gallery offers unique one-of-a-kind gifts that cannot be found elsewhere.
Every weekend in December, shoppers can enjoy hot apple cider and sweets.
Arbor Gallery’s hours are Wednesday-Friday, 2 p.m. — 7 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. — 6 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. The gallery is located on the first floor inside the MAC at 645 W. Main Street in Merced.
