COVID-19 related deaths reach 70 in Merced County

724 new cases reported since Friday; 2,226 considered 'probable active'

Today, the Merced County Department of Public Health confirmed seven additional deaths related to COVID-19 (one previously-reported death has been reclassified since Friday):

• As of 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2020, there are 5,736 confirmed cases (+724 from Friday) of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) in Merced County. Approximately 2,226 of those cases are active, and 70 have died.

• As of Aug. 10, a total of 31,412 tests have been performed in Merced County: 5,736 of those tests are confirmed as positive cases.

In California, there are 560,861 confirmed cases and 10,311 deaths.
