Countryside Pumpkin Patches Open For Season
Michael and Tiffany Skelton and their two children, Aurora and James, were the first ones to the pumpkin patch at Vista Ranch on Sunday morning.
It was opening weekend for the seasonal attraction along Highway 140, and the Skeltons from Hanford had easy access. They had arrived earlier to camp in the nearby farmland thanks to a Harvest Hosts app membership that provides overnight RV stays at farms and wineries.
They enjoyed a beautiful morning at Vista along with other families. The pumpkin patch will be open daily, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., through Saturday, Oct. 31. There’s heirloom pumpkins, winter squash and other goodies. A massive maze in the rear of the ranch’s Wine Tasting Room is filled with pumpkins growing all around in the midst of long, winding vines. Wood-fired pizza on weekends, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. And check out Vista’s calendar for Harvest Night events. Go online to: VistaRanch.com
