College gallery presents printmaking by Merced artist Pedro Uribe Godoy

Merced College Art Gallery will present an exhibition of printmaking Merced artist Pedro Uribe Godoy, titled “Connecting to the Past.”

This exhibition will open Jan. 13 and continue to Feb. 6, 2020.

The public is invited to a reception with the artist. This event will be held Jan. 22, 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The event is free to the public.

Pedro Uribe Godoy has been developing and creating a connection to the past with his printmaking by utilizing ancient hieroglyphs from Mexico and Central America, creating his own visual narratives.

Pedro Uribe Godoy holds a degree in Studio Art from Humboldt State University. He is also a former student of Merced College with an A.A. in Visual Art.

The Merced College Art Gallery is located in the Theater Building at Merced College.

GALLERY HOURS: Monday- Thursday 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.; and by appointment.
