Ladies First At Sierra Repertory Theatre

Sierra Repertory Theatre in Sonora brings back Ramblin’ Rose with even more music on The Annex stage, Jan. 26 through Feb. 4.

From the classic hits you grew up with to the contemporaries carrying the torch, come celebrate the women who define Country and Folk music. Featuring five multi-instrumentalists from New York City, Ramblin’ Rose is distinguished by their tight harmonies, sizzling solos, and passion for bringing more female artists to the spotlight.

This dynamic group is sure to have you toe tapping, clapping, and singing along to the Queens of Country and Folk!

The show stars Allison Kelly, Tina Scariano, Lauren Jeanne Thomas, Morgan Morse, and Titus Tompkins.

“I love storytelling, and these are the genres that tell our stories,” says bandleader Allison Kelly. “Folk music is the passing down of what we know set to a melody, and I’m very honored to carry the torch. My favorite part of any performance is when an audience member tells me how a song we performed brought back a special memory. I want audiences to sing along, clap along, and celebrate these amazing Country Queens with us!”

Audiences can’t miss the return of Ramblin’ Rose, after their sold out run in 2022.

“Concerts in the Annex are Sonora’s best kept secret,” says SRT Artistic Director Jerry Lee. “We bring in these world-class musicians and you are an arm’s length away from the music. You are breathing in these performances and the music is intoxicating. It’s a magical experience.”

Show times are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. There is an added performance Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m.; there is no shows Sunday, Feb. 5.

Beer, wine, and snacks will be available for purchase to enjoy during performances. Doors open one hour before each performance so patrons can come early to select their seats, enjoy refreshments, and possibly mingle with the stars. Limited general seating, get your tickets now!
