Airfest Returning To Castle Airport

By The Merced County Times On Sep 4, 2025

The Castle Airfest & Family Fun Day will return to Castle Airport on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy aircraft fly-bys, and static displays of rare and vintage aircraft. Also, the Castle Air Museum will present its annual Fall Bombs Away Car Show at the event. Expect a variety of food vendors, and displays by various local organizations.

Admission is FREE. The event site will be at 3430 “A” St., Atwater. Plenty of parking available.

This is the second edition of the event. It’s also being held on the 30th anniversary year since the closing of the former Castle Air Force Base, where military air shows and open house events were a popular tradition.
