The kitchen is cookin’ inside Merced’s Italo-American Lodge

Lots of great Italian food has been pouring out the back door of the Italo-American Lodge in Merced due to drive-by fundraisers and special events.

Recently, members and volunteers of the local branch of the Italian Catholic Federation created a long assembly line to make and package authentic Biscotti with anise and almonds.

Together they packaged more than 4,000 biscotti biscuits for supporters.

Then a few of the members came back the next day and made hundreds more for another special event.

Also recently, the Lodge’s BBQ Chicken and Pasta drive-thru fundraiser was a big hit, drawing in a long line of local residents thrilled to get a taste of the Lodge’s famous cuisine.
