Returning to downtown Merced for the first time since 2019, the Merced County Pride Fest will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The Merced Multicultural Arts Center will hold two community workshops — “Exfoliating Trauma Through Art” with Maria Belen and “Artist Workshop” with Finn Haigh and Peter Gillis — from 11:30AM to 4:30PM.
Then from 5PM to 9PM, a Street Fair will be happening on Main Street from K Street to M Street, along with Bob Hart Square and Canal Street to 18th Street.
Upwards of 80 organizations, businesses, food trucks, vendors and artists will be present along with a Youth Zone featuring Play Adventures, an LGBT+ Mobile Library, and more. Live entertainment will be on stage from local community members at the intersection of Main and Canal streets. This will include musical artist Ric Angel.
Special speakers include Ernest White II and Merced City Council member Bertha Perez.
This event is hosted by the Merced County Pride Fest Committee and the Merced Pride Center.
