Pixies – Weezer Spring Tour to climax at Las Vegas resort

If you missed the Pixies – Weezer North American Spring Tour as it winged through California in recent days, you might want to consider a quick jaunt over to the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas this Friday, April 12. At last glance, there’s still some tickets left in some sections. It’s worth a trip if you can get away in time.

This has been a fortunate run for Pixies fans especially, and Tuesday’s show in Sacramento at the Golden 1 Center, and on Wednesday at Oracle Arena in Oakland, were proof positive.
Paz Lenchantin, David Lovering, Joey Santiago and Black Francis are one in the same band — straightforward and loving their craft while sharing the formula to the masses.
Fans have been treated to a different set list every night with tracks from Head Carrier such as the title track or “All The Saints,” and Pixies’ 5 other album opuses including 30th anniversary material from Surfer Rosa and Doolittle.

It’s always a treat to experience “Where Is My Mind,” “Here Comes Your Man,” and “Gigantic,”
but the show have also provided the opportunity to hear some resh new tracks from an album to be released in September.

Co-headliner Weezer brings it home with some new energy after their cover of Toto’s 1980s hit “Africa” reached certified Gold status after topping the Billboard Rock Airplay chart. The band also recently released their single “Can’t Stop The Hustle” from their “Black Album,” which will be released in 2019.
