Mercy Foundation celebrates with donors and sponsors
Donors who share a passion for improved healthcare in Merced gathered recently for an outdoor celebration organized by the Mercy Medical Center Merced Foundation at the historic Bear Creek Inn in Merced.
Special guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in a garden setting, and they heard an update from Foundation Board Chair Kaaren Morgner.
Thanks to community support and Foundation fundraising efforts, more than $1 million dollars was transferred from the Foundation to the hospital from 2020-2022.
Among the resulting upgrades were:
- Support classes and therapy programs for oncology patients.
- Two Robotic, 30-degree scopes for the DaVinci robotic surgical system.
- A Sentimag System for breast health and improved patient care.
- A neuro microscope that enables delicate neurosurgery, spine, as well as plastic and reconstructive surgeries.
- Three imaging machines one of which featuring state-of-the-art Cardio 4D imaging.
- New fetal monitors for the Family Birth Center, as well as new bassinets.
Morgner added that the Foundation’s Heritage Endowment has reached $1.4 million.
