Kids’ Day at MAC to Celebrate Black History

G.B. Blackmon's performance to feature African American Spirituals

Have fun celebrating Black History Month with African American Spirituals and Stories for Kids performed by G.B. Blackmon on Saturday, February 24 at 11:00am in the Black Box Theatre of the Merced Multicultural Arts Center (the MAC), 645 W. Main St. Merced.  G.B. is well-known to Playhouse Merced Theatre goers and will delight children of all ages as well as their adults! The program is interactive and multimedia.

Kids’ Days at the MAC is a monthly program of the Merced County Arts Council that offers kids the opportunity to participate in the arts as an audience for a performance or as an artist creating open-ended and fun art projects. The program is free thanks to the Merced County Office of Education and the California Arts Council.

Kids’ Days at the MAC are very informal and a great way to introduce children to live, engaging performances. The art projects are so fun that the adults are often creating their own art instead of just helping their children.
