Italo-American Lodge expands social nights and honors leadership


During a recent and special social night highlighted by an exquisite five-course meal and open bar, members of the Italo-American Lodge in Merced honored some of its leaders, as well as announced a whole new, expanded lineup of Social Nights for the 2023 new year.

Lodge President Michael Bandoni received an award for his leadership of the organization, including heading up new fundraising events. Duane Kamesch was honored for his outstanding dedication and service to the lodge that includes leading culinary efforts in the kitchen as well as volunteer work during special events.

Longtime member and Past President, E.J. Almo Lorenzi, presented the Joseph Lorenzi Dedicated Service Award to Randy Bardini, who served as president of the lodge from 1985 to 1986. He also served as secretary of the lodge for many years. Bardini’s grandfather was the lodge’s first president.

The Italo’s Vince Piro capped off the special evening by announcing a new expanded list of social nights that are open to the local community. The popular events, supported by community sponsors and popular themes, are known to draw in big crowds of local residents who appreciate incredible Italian home-style cuisine, great conversation, and a wonderful atmosphere.

These are must-attend community events that create new friends, lasting memories and endless networking opportunities.
