‘Holiday Double Feature’ to open at Playhouse Merced

Playhouse Merced opens its Holiday Double Feature on Thursday, Dec. 1, and the shows will run through Dec. 17.
Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane with a live stage adaptation of the classic Rankin-Bass stop-motion special, “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr.,” as well as seeing “A Very Mixed-Up Christmas Pageant,” which is a show that tells us what would happen if kids show up to perform a traditional Christmas Pageant in, perhaps, the most opposite style of attire to that of Christmas — their Halloween costumes!
Children from across Merced County have been working hard since this past August to perform for family, friends, and members of the community. With many talents ranging from ages four to 18, the students of the Playhouse Merced Conservatory continue to show that theater can be done by actors of all ages.
Tickets are still available for this Holiday Double Feature but they are going fast, so get them while you can.
You can buy tickets by visiting the Playhouse Merced website (playhousemerced.com) or by contacting the Box Office during their office hours (Tuesday – Friday 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.) in person or over the phone, (209) 725-8587.
This is the last production of the year for Playhouse Merced, and they will return with Sondheim on Sondheim (Rated PG-13 for Language) in February 2023.
