The Merced County Historical Society held its annual membership meeting last Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Merced County Board of Supervisors’ Chamber.
Superior Court Judge Brian McCabe led a swearing-in ceremony for this year’s new slate of officers to the society’s Board of Directors, including Kent Roberts, President; Chris Tomford, President-Elect; Bob Souza, Vice President; Grey Roberts, Treasurer; Patti Kishi, Secretary; Board of Directors: Kathy Brady (Dos Palos), John Carlos (Merced), Tom Roduner (Merced), and Augie Scoto (Atwater).
The Historical Society also presented several awards and grants to individuals and local organizations for preserving and maintaining Merced County history.
