‘Grand Opening’ held for print shop, graphics factory in Merced

Nazareth “Naz” Diaz can print onto just about anything: stickers, t-shirts, business cards… or maybe wrapping your car in graphics!

His business, InsideLines at 1672 W 13th Street, Merced (across from Home Depot) held its official Grand Opening on Friday, Feb. 22 including a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The company first opened for business in summer 2005 with a location at the corner of  Main and G streets.

Event guests got a full tour of the new graphics factory including state-of-the-art embroidery and full color screen printing equipment. Diaz’s father, Cuauhtemoc “Temo” Diaz is proud that his son is a Certified Wrap Technician. And brother Cesar also works at InsideLines.

“I’ve always loved graphics,” Naz explained. “In high school I entered a competition to make office flyers. I won. My design was used to promote a real company.”

InsideLines has a sister location in Gilroy that focuses on long runs for large corporations. The Merced location is set up for smaller quantities – even just one – of specialty items for local businesses, clubs and sports teams.

“We are a one-stop shop for t-shirts, car graphics, banners and paper goods,” Naz said.

InsideLines was presented with certificates from Congressman Jim Costa, State Senator Anna Caballero and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President Rene Gutierrez.

“I’d like to thank and congratulate the Diaz family,” Costa began. “This business reflects what our valley is all about. They represent generations of families that have worked hard and want to have their own businesses.”
