Elks Enjoy Thanksgiving With Local Students
On the last Friday of school, before the Thanksgiving break, the Merced Elks Lodge provided a free luncheon for about 100 special needs students and staff from the Merced County Office of Education and the Merced Union High School District.
They were provided a delicious lunch of turkey, dressing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, and pumpkin pie.
The food was all that they could eat, so everyone left with a full stomach.
Elks drug awareness wrist bands were passed out to everyone.
Funding assistance was provided by the Merced Elks BINGO and the Merced Elks RV Park.
