YARTS welcomes Tuolumne County to board
The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors took action on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 to accept the invitation by the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS) Board of Directors to join the YARTS Joint Powers Authority.
The Board also appointed Supervisors Ryan Campbell, District 2, and Kathleen Haff, District 4, to represent Tuolumne County on the YARTS board.
YARTS is governed by a board comprised of two Supervisors from each of the member Counties. Tuolumne County joins Mariposa, Merced, and Mono Counties as voting member agencies of YARTS, and Madera and Fresno Counties as non-voting members.

“I am excited to welcome my colleagues from Tuolumne County to the YARTS team,” said Merced County Supervisor Scott Silveira, YARTS Board Chair. “Both Tuolumne County and the Tuolumne County Transportation Commission have been exceptionally supportive of YARTS for the past nine years and we celebrate this moment in partnership with them.”
“I am thrilled to represent Tuolumne County in this regional transportation JointPpowers Authority,” said Supervisor Haff. “I look forward to working with the group on a winning long-range strategy that will position YARTS well for generations to come!”
