Families from near and far made their way through Merced over the weekend as they brought their college-bound family members to the UC Merced campus. The Move-In Days event on Saturday brought together UC student volunteers and moving teams to meet each new Bobcat family on Scholars Lane as they pulled up to the campus. As the UC Merced student volunteers led students and their family members to the dorm rooms, they were greeted with a number of informational stands and fun activities aimed at getting everybody quickly acclimated to life on campus. The following day, continuing students returned to campus ready to continue their education. In total, the school welcomed around 3,000 students onto the campus as part of the Move-In Days event; however, final number are not expected to be released until three weeks into the semester when an official census is completed.
