The 131st annual Merced County Fair kicks off on Wednesday, June 7 


The 2023 Merced County Fair presented by Valley Children’s Healthcare will officially be underway on Wednesday June 7, marking the Fair’s 131st year of showcasing the best in Merced County for the nearly 70,000 Fairgoers that attend the five-day event each June. 

The Fair will officially kick off with a brief Opening Ceremonies sponsored by Dignity Health – Mercy Medical Center. The program begins at 5 p.m. at the flagpole near the Outdoor Theatre. Plus, as part of the Dignity Health – Merced Medical Center “We Care Wednesday” seniors 62 and better get into the Fair for free. They can also enjoy a special Seniors’ Lifestyle Expo from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. near the Martin Luther King Jr. Way gate. More details below.

About The Merced County Fair: 

The Merced County Fair, first founded in 1891, represents the 35th District Agricultural Association. The fair’s mission statement outlines that it “promises to meet the needs of our community by providing a fun, safe venue to celebrate our area’s agricultural heritage, discover new technology and be entertained.” This year marks the 131st year of operation for the Merced County Fair. The Merced County Fair annually welcomes nearly 70,000 people from throughout Merced County and beyond to attend the five-day fair each June.
