Teasdale Latin Foods is one of the largest employers in Atwater, providing hundreds of jobs and fostering economic stability for countless families in the region. 177 salaried and hourly union workers are employed at the Atwater facility. In addition, Teasdale’s operations contribute over $1 million in annual local payroll tax revenue. Our commitment to local employment goes beyond mere numbers; it’s about investing in people and their futures. From production line workers to managerial staff, each team member plays a vital role in the success story of Teasdale Latin Foods. We take pride in offering competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package, and ample opportunities for career advancement, ensuring that our employees thrive both personally and professionally.

I am a firm believer in practicing resource stewardship in company operations and at Teasdale Latin Foods, we pride ourselves on sourcing locally. Our manufacturing facilities procure over $30 million of its ingredients from the state of California. A total of 9MM pounds of corn and 8MM pounds of tomatoes are purchased from California farmers each year to support Teasdale’s hominy, salsa, and sauce production. An estimated $60 million of products are produced in Atwater and are shipped yearly to restaurants and grocery stores across the state. Since 1942, the Atwater canning facility has utilized the BNSF Railway for the transportation of beans, produce, and canned goods. This is a testament to Teasdale’s historic and lasting roots in the Atwater community.

Central to our commitment to Atwater is our ongoing investment in the Teasdale Atwater facility. This state-of-the-art production facility not only represents a significant corporate investment but also serves as a symbol of our long-term commitment to the community. Through continuous upgrades, expansions, and technological advancements, we strive to remain at the forefront of our industry while creating new opportunities for economic growth and development in the region.

It is heartening to know that our efforts have not gone unnoticed. We are grateful for the unwavering support of our local leaders, including Mike Nelson, Mayor of Atwater, the Board of Supervisors of Merced County, and Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria at the state level. Their advocacy and collaboration have been instrumental in our success, and we look forward to continuing to work hand in hand with elected officials to drive positive change in our community.

Teasdale Latin Foods is more than just a food manufacturer; we are a catalyst for economic growth, a champion of sustainable practices and a beacon of hope for the communities we serve. As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our commitment to Atwater, Merced and the entire Central Valley region.
