Dear Editor,
In the 2016 election, Merced County voters cast their votes in great abundance. The result was the swooping replacement of several incumbents. This wave of newly elected has allowed us to have great success in many areas with still much work to be done in others.
With that being stated, if you feel that you can make a difference, then I propose you step up and run for office.
If you believe there are still things around here that need changing, that priorities are biased, officials are out of touch, or that justice is carried with divers weights and measures, then I say you should step up!
If you don’t have funding, or connections, or memberships, so what? If you have faith and are wise, kind-hearted, and a dedicated servant, then you are a perfect candidate, so step up!
And when you do step up, you’ll notice that others will step with you. Some will walk beside you, some will follow behind you, some may even come before you, but as long as it is the will of the people, and the fate of this great county, you will prevail, and we will welcome you.
