Shop With A Cop Warms Hearts At Merced Mall

Friendships and lasting Christmas memories were made during the heartwarming Shop With A Cop event at the Merced Mall.

Young students from across the Merced City School District were paired up with police officers who helped the youngsters pick out clothes, shoes, toys and other checked items on their wish lists.

The children were selected by the staff at their respective schools. Each child was given $200 to spend. Some students also shared their blessings and picked out presents for their siblings.

They had photos with Santa, and lots of time for bonding and getting to know each other. After they were done shopping, they enjoyed hot cocoa and pizza.

Oh what fun!
