Santa Arrives At The Merced Mall!

Old Saint Nick made his first appearance at Merced Mall on Saturday, Nov. 20, just in time for the start of the holiday season.

As is tradition, Santa arrived by way of a ride from the Merced Fire Department’s firetruck. He was greeted by young Dancing Elves from Denisa’s School of Dance who escorted him through the Mall’s main entrance and into the Center Court. Once Santa arrived at his winter wonderland photo set, the tiny celebrated his arrival with a holiday performance for friends and families.

“It is such a thrill to be able to have our traditional Santa arrival once again,” said Nanette Villegas, the marketing manager for the Merced Mall. “Last year’s holiday season was such a challenge. It feels great to be back in full swing.”

For those looking to meet Santa Claus, they can do so until Dec. 24. Santa will be ready for photos from Monday to Thursday, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and on Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.. Starting Dec. 17, Santa will be available daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., and on his final day on Dec. 24, he will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Prices for photo packages begin at $27.95 and top out at $45.95, with additional options for those who would like to purchase key chains, frames, or ornaments. Details on photo times, pricing and other holiday happenings can be found online at mercedmall.com/events.
