Realtor gives back with ‘I Love Merced’ campaign

Local Realtor Tami Davidson has been marketing ‘I Love My Merced’ bumper stickers this year to promote the city and bring about some positive vibes among those who live or have lived here. Recently, she made a donation to the Junior Sailing program at Lake Yosemite organized by the Lake Yosemite Sailing Association (LYSA).

In her own words:

“I wanted to do something for the children of Merced.

“The ‘I Love My Merced’ bumper sticker campaign was created to put a positive light on our wonderful city. I was born and raised in Merced. My first experience with LYSA was when I was 17 years old. The Gonzos (Gary McKinzie and his crew) invited me out on their Catamaran. Fast forward to today. I look at the key organizations that given my family a hand up and guided us to be givers and doers. The Lake Yosemite Sailing Association and the Junior Sailing program has welcomed us with open arms from the beginning. Matt Loeffler, Brigitte Bowers and Craig Anderson have been instrumental with guidance and just straight-out goodness to my son and I. When I see newcomers, I know they will get far more than they ever imagined.

“Merced Elks Lodge #1240 and The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce have also shown me what a difference they make in the lives of OUR children. Once again it’s the givers and doers that I want to honor. We’ve got one shot at living the good life. Empowering our children is the Golden Key that opens the door.”
