Merced County reports 4 new COVID-related deaths since yesterday

 

Merced County Health Department COVID-19 update …

As of 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2020, there are 13,851 confirmed cases (+214 from Monday) of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) in Merced County. 

Approximately 2,391 of those cases are active, and 198 have died. 

Four COVID-related deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours. They include one female and three males. One person was age 35-49, and three were over the age of 65. Three of the four were reported with underlying health conditions. 

  As of Dec. 8, a total of 83,184 tests have been performed in Merced County: 13,851 of those tests are confirmed as positive cases. 

• Current Risk Tier: Purple (Widespread). Many non-essential indoor business operations 

are closed. 

• In California, there are 1,366,435 confirmed cases and 19,935 deaths.
