MCSD Board of Education welcomes new members
Two new members of the Merced City School District’s Board of Education were sworn in to office on Tuesday night at the STEAM Center on the campus of Ada Givens School.
Birdi Olivarez-Kidwell, representing the Area 4 seat, and Jessee Espinosa, representing the Area 2 seat, were sworn in by Superintendent Al Rogers. They were joined by family members who took pictures of the ceremony.
After winning their respective election races, Olivarez-Kidwell replaces Emily Langdon on the board, and Espinosa takes the spot previously held by Tsia Xiong.
