Members and supporters of the American Legion Post #83 were serving up great dinners of corned beef and cabbage for the entire community on St. Patrick’s Day last Sunday in Merced.
Next Up: Post 83 is serving Menudo and Pozole this Sunday, March 24, 9 a.m. to noon. $9 for large bowl, $6 for small. All donation go to support the Legions programs. The Legion bar will be open and all are welcome. For more information call 722-0940.
ALSO: Join veterans as they celebrate 100 years of the American Legion — 1919 to 2019 — on March 30, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Dance from 7 p.m. til 11 p.m. to the sounds of “Two Hoots and a Holler.” Hot dogs and hamburgers will be for sale, as well as a dessert raffle and a 50/50 raffle. Please bring a dessert for the raffle. The American Legion is located at 939 W. Main Street in downtown Merced.
