As a way to continue serving the community, as well as spreading holiday joy, London Properties of Atwater, with the aid of Father Christmas in the flesh, gave out nearly a hundred bikes to all the good little children in town.
It’s the seventh year the real estate business has held the giveaway.
In addition to new bikes, all the kids were able to get candy and a chance to meet Santa.
“We are grateful for the continued support of all the generous sponsors that have allowed us to keep serving in this way,” said Larissa Sherman of London Properties. “It is heartwarming to witness the face of a deserving kiddo light-up when they get to meet Santa and get a brand new bike for Christmas.
“The kids are selected by the staff at our local schools and they do a great job identifying who is the most deserving. Every year there are several stories that get shared with us which include parents crying when they learn their child was selected because they are struggling and worry about not having additional funds for Christmas gifts, and older students that rely on their gifted bike to get them to school everyday.
“London Properties Atwater and our agents are proud to be active supporters of our community through many avenues and we really take pride in this particular event. This year we were able to gift over 80 bikes, with the help of our sponsors.”
Those sponsors include: Nancy Deavours, Pat Ferrigno, In Memory of Barbara Bettencourt, Eddy and Venus Rodriguez, MSEFCU, Julie Sterling, Luis and Vanessa Lara, Phil May of KW Property Team, Triune Home Inspections Services, Matt Migliazzo of M-Mig Construction, Nolan Lane Properties, Lorrie McDowell, Kim Alford, Shawna Dean, Vicky Gudino of Royal Charter Mortgage, Annette Heikkila, Martin and Linda Luis, Manuel and Mary Andre, Dana and Gary Lorenzo, and Ethan McDowell.
Thee was also the team at London Properties Atwater that gave donations and time to make the event possible: Saul Hernandez & Leanne Lopez, Celi Garcia, Amber Franks, Tiffany Wilson, Alex Cortez, Cristina Mendez, and Larissa Sherman and Sam Sanchez.
“A special thank you goes to our Santa, Shawn Franks, and a huge thank you to Leanne Lopez for coordinating the event logistics on behalf of London Properties,” Sherman said. “The event might only be one afternoon, but the planning and prepping started months in advance and Leanne oversees all the details. Our hope is that the effort creates years of joy and happiness to all the bike recipients and their families.”
