A group of activists in Merced’s downtown community came together in recent days and organized a supply drive at the Kreepy Kawaii Designs gallery (1742 Canal St.) to support those displaced and in need due to recent flooding.

They transported supplies on their own directly to relief services in Planada in response to the recent evacuation of the entire town, leaving large sums of people without a roof or basic necessities.

Last weekend, Kreepy Kawaii Owner Patty Pratt was urging the public to “keep helping each other out as much as you can, and try to figure out different routes of connecting to and getting resources to the community.”

At the time, the primary things that were needed were water, any food, blankets, baby formula, diapers (especially size 4), cleaning supplies (of all kinds), buckets, trash cans, trash bags, Ziploc bags, and pet food. Call Kreepy Kawaii Designs at (209) 354-6067.
