Lively ‘pre-party’ sets stage for upcoming Merced County Fair
Hundreds of residents gathered together inside of the Yosemite Hall at the Merced County Fairgrounds recently to show their support for the upcoming 2022 Fair.
The sold-out “Fair Pre-Party” and dinner served as the kickoff event for fair season and treated residents to an early selection of entertainment, fair food vendors, and a tri-tip dinner complete with a hosted bar. Attendees were also invited to show their support for the annual event by taking part in both silent and live auctions, trying their luck with a raffle, taking home their favorite sweet treats during the dessert auctions, and more over the course of the nearly five-hour event.
And after a two-year hiatus, residents from across the county were quick to embrace the opportunity to do so.
Put on by the Merced County Fair Board, Friends of the Merced County Fair Board and Fair Management, the special event drew well over 400 residents. In addition to bringing together special entertainment like Patrick Contreras – Violin on Fire, the night also served as a general meeting for the top officers of the Merced County Fair Board, giving those in attendance special insight into the planning and effort behind putting on one of the county’s largest events of the year.
Proceeds from the pre-party event will go to make this year’s County Fair the most memorable event ever.
