Ladies Out Promotin’ Derby Night
Cathie Lancaster and Nancy Young-Bergman were talking up the upcoming 2018 CASA Derby Night during a presentation at City Hall in front of Merced leaders recently.
Lancaster, the executive director of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Merced County; and Young-Bergman, a longtime supporter; spoke passionately about the need to provide support and direction to more than 500 Merced County foster youth in this region. Hundreds still do not have a CASA Advocate to help them navigate the legal system and their unique needs.
CASA of Merced County’s Derby Night will be held on March 24 at the Merced County Fairgrounds to raise money for the organization and its efforts.
This will be a fun-filled evening with fabulous food and “authentic” horseracing using play money. A live auction, Marketplace, Hat Boutique and Sweet Shop will also be included. The social hour begins at 6 p.m. with food and races beginning at 7 p.m.
Individual tickets to the event can be purchased for $75. Table sponsorships are available. They are also in need of donated items for our live auction and marketplace and hope that you can help. All donations are tax deductible.
