The Kiddieland amusement area inside Applegate Park in Merced opened for the spring, summer and fall seasons last Saturday. Local families with youngsters can enjoy Kiddieland Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 2 pm., through the summer and early fall. The park features the famous Kiddieland Train, Carousel, the Go-Gator roller coaster, the Helicopter ride, the Cars ride, the Rocket ride, and a snack bar. Ride tickets and food are cash only. Easter Egg Hunt
Don’t miss the big Easter Egg Hunt near Kiddieland at Applegate Park on April 8, starting at 10 a.m. Local volunteers, including high school Key Club and Leo Club members have helped stuff more than 3,000 eggs with candy, special things like Playdough and Pokémon, and golden ticket for bigger gifts such as crayons and coloring books.
