On the last Friday of school before the Christmas break, the Merced Elks Lodge provided a free luncheon for 210 special needs students and staff with the Merced County Office of Education, Merced Union High School District, and the Family Challenged Resource Center.
They were provided a delicious lunch of turkey, dressing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls and apple pie. A room was available for professional free pictures with Santa. Elks drug awareness wrist bands were passed out, and everyone had a fantastic time!
Funding for this project was provided by the Merced Elks BINGO, Merced Elks RV Park, Family Challenged Resource Center and JLW Social Enterprises.
