Golden Valley High to inaugurate second Hall of Fame Class


The Golden Valley High School Foundation will inaugurate its second Hall of Fame Class on Saturday, Jan. 28.

The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m at the Merced Senior Center, 755 West 15th Street. The GVHS Hall of Fame honors not only alumni but past contributors to the school and/or community.

This year’s inductees include:

  • Caitlin Dickerson, Class of 2007, 2015 Peabody Award Winner in Journalism, Staff Writer at the The Atlantic Magazine, Former New York Times reporter, and Political Analyst for CNN.
  • Adam Gray, Class of 1996, California State Assemblymember, 2012-22
  • Catherine (Hill) Nutcher, Class of 1996, All American Water Polo Player at UC Santa Barbara and University of Santa Barbara, USA National Water Polo Team
  • Bill Hurst, GVHS Athletic Director and Cross Country/Track and Field Coach, 1994-2016.
  • Jennifer Madkins, Class of 1996, University of San Francisco Division 1 Basketball Scholarship.
  • Davy Malaythong, Class of 1996, Boise State Division 1 Football Player
  • Dr. Amanda (Gipe) McKeith, Class of 2002, Fresno State Agriculture Professor.
  • Lou Price, On Campus SRO and Community Volunteer, 1996-2010
  • Richard Regalo, GVHS Inaugural Agriculture Department Chair
Future Farmers of America Advisor or several state and national award winning teams.
  • Laura Tinetti, Class of 1997, University of San Francisco Division 1 Scholarship.
  • Ranger Wiens, Class of 1998, Third Team All American Shortstop at BYU, California Super Lawyer.
