Farm Bureau Endorses Morse

At the April Merced County Farm Bureau Board of Directors meeting the Board voted to endorse Larry Morse II to serve as the Merced County District Attorney. President Gino Pedretti III had this to say about MCFB’s endorsement, “District Attorney Larry Morse has worked effectively in providing the agriculture community tools to fight agriculture crime,” he continued, “He has worked well with Sheriff Vern Warnke and our organization. We look forward to continued efforts in these matters.”

District Attorney Larry Morse II was elected by Merced County in 2006 and reelected in 2010 and 2014. In addition to combating agriculture crime, District Attorney Morse founded the first Crime Stoppers Program for our county. He has also served two terms on the California District Attorneys Association’s (CDAA) Board of Directors and as co-chair of CDAA’s Legislation Committee.

Upon learning of the endorsement District Attorney Larry Morse II had this to say, “For more than a century the Merced County Farm Bureau has been a strong and independent voice for our agriculture community. I am honored by their endorsement and pledge to work closely with them in their efforts to protect our water, farms and the agriculture heritage of Merced County.”
