Dinner and Dance to start Spring Fair celebration

The 2022 Merced County Spring Fair Kick Off Dinner and Dance will be held Saturday, April 23, in the O’Banion Building of the Los Banos Fairgrounds.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner being served at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $30 and available at the Spring Fair office at 403 F Street in Los Banos. The steak dinner will include mushrooms, salad, green beans, red potatoes, dinner roll and a cream cheese brownie donated by Hilmar Cheese.

The FFA students from both Los Banos and Dos Palos high schools will be serving the meal. The bar will be catered by España’s Southwest Bar and Grill.
The May Day Queen and her court will be in attendance to meet and greet everyone. They include Miss May Day Queen, Emma Menefee from Los Banos, first runner-up Aubrie Hazan from Gustine, second runner-up Gloria Leonard from Los Banos, and third runner-up Madison Moore from Los Banos.

2022 May Day Fair Grand Marshals, Rhonda and Larry Borelli, Sr., will also be in attendance. The Heritage Foundation speech team, comprised of FFA and 4H students will be presenting a speech on the importance of the Heritage Foundation for the future of the fair.

There will be a wide selection of items for both a silent and live auction. Merced County Supervisor Scott Silveira will be the auctioneer.
Following the auction the audience will be able to kick-up their heels to the tunes of the band, Sound Remedy from Merced who will be playing a wide selection of music to dance to.
