Cougar Company inspires audience with ‘Les Miserables’

The Golden Valley Theatre Department’s “Cougar Company” put on a colorful rendition of the classic musical “Les Miserables” for local residents over the weekend.

In addition to the young actors and actresses taking to the stage, student musicians provided symphonic sounds for the melodies sung by the young actors.

Each performance drew in large crowds for the equally large production, with Theatre Director Amber Kirby calling it the biggest production the Cougar Company has performed to date.

The grand finale of Les Miserables on Sunday afternoon drew a standing ovation following the cast’s performance of favorite tunes such as the “Inn Keepers Song,” “The People’s Song,” and “The Night.”
