‘Community Spirit’ artists gather for MAC reception

Artists as well as community members came together inside the Multicultural Arts Center (MAC) in downtown Merced last weekend to celebrate the local art featured in the second annual Community Spirit exhibition.

Attendees were treated to a selection of refreshments as they were able to view all of the wonderful pieces on display. They also had a chance to engage with the various creators of the works.

“The arts are all inclusive,” says Colton Dennis, the MAC director. “I love it when we are able to engage more people in the arts, no matter what the discipline is. You can never be too young or too old. I am so happy to see so many of our community share their art with the rest of us and share what “home” means to them.”
