Christmas At The Courthouse
Due to the most recent state mandates involving data linked to the COVID-19 virus, the Merced County Courthouse Museum is closing its doors to in-person visits at this time.
So that means Christmas at the Courthouse is going to be a little different this year.
Nevertheless, and despite the great challenge of the ongoing pandemic, scores of community volunteers have once again stepped up and worked hard to keep a longstanding tradition happen again just in time for Christmas.
The 36th annual Christmas Tree display lives on in the halls of the courthouse with a whopping 46 trees on display.
On this page is a sampling of some of the trees on display. Also, the Courthouse plans to present an online video tour of the trees. Check the museum’s Facebook page for details on the video.

This year, the theme of the Merced County Times Christmas Tree on display inside the Merced County Courthouse Musuem is “Honoring Our Community Sponsors.”
The tree features the names of our community sponsors also listed on this page, along with garland made of newspaper pages and a tree topper that marks our 57th year in business.
The tree was created by the Times professional designers Yanira Ledezma and Chloe Peterson.
