The parking lot was full, and there were all ages of visitors walking around in wide-eyed wonder for the Fall Open Cockpit Day at Castle Air Museum on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Many fans of vintage military aircraft took advantage of the free shuttle that transported guests to the museum’s Restoration Hanger, where a lot of work is taking place, including efforts on the newly arrived F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter.
The day-long event invited visitors and local residents to check out nearly 80 vintage military aircraft, lots of demonstrations, family activities, and great food.
