Atwater church presents ‘Centurion’ Easter drama

Landmark Tabernacle church in Atwater has a true work of art on show, and they want to share in with members of the community who are ready to be inspired.

“The Centurion — An Easter Drama” is the story of the life of Jesus, and how he impacted all those who heard his words of hope, healing and forgiveness.

“All should be prepared to be impacted!” exclaimed Dianna Hyler, a member of the church.

This epic stage drama features an incredible 102 cast members — literally of all ages, from infants to seniors. The actors utilize all the main aisles of the sanctuary, and of course, a large stage with an elaborate set that resembles those from a Cecil B. DeMille movie.

Audience members will witness sword fights with real props, passionate musical solos, and the inspiring message of love, sacrifice and redemption sent forth by the Son of God.

The production is a culmination of six months of preparation. The church has staged an Easter story before, but it has been several years since the last one. Don’t miss the chance to see this treasure.

The Centurion will be presented on Saturday, April 4, at 6 p.m.; and again on Easter Sunday, April 5, at 10:30 a.m.

Landmark Tabernacle is located at 1927 Olive Ave. in Atwater. Call (209) 358-0781.
