Association of Realtors install new officers for 2023


Members of the Merced County Association of Realtors (MCAR) gathered to present awards and swear in leaders last Thursday night at the Vista Ranch on Highway 140. It was the first in-person gathering of the annual ceremony since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2023 officers include: Moe Jawad, president; Brian Raymond, president-elect; and Ranjeet Singh, secretary / treasurer / past president. The 2023 Board of Directors include: Audrey Searcy, Scott Oliver, Brandon Ruscoe, Martin Meister, Terri Kleinen and Diane Perez.

The Affiliate of the Year award went to Peg Larson for her partnership with the real estate community as a community advocate and president of TransCounty Title Company. She shared the award with her family of TransCounty team members. The award was presented by Annissa Fragoso of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The Bill Del Nero Lifetime Achievement Award went to Realtor Steve Tinetti who started his career in Merced real estate in April of 1974. He has served as director for the California Association of Realtors (CAR), MCAR past president, as well as numerous other community organizations over the years. The award was presented by last year’s winner Loren Gonnella.

The Bob Ayers Award went to Realtor Marcus Rodriguez for his professionalism, service and congeniality. The award was presented by previous winner Anna Newkirk.

The Flanadori Award went to Emanuelle Ochoa of Coldwell Banker Premier Real Estate. This award — created to honor the Flanagan Family and Mike Salvadori — shows appreciation of the recipient’s inspiration and support of MCAR’s Charitable Foundation. The award was presented by last year’s winner Sarah Boyle.

The Excellence in Leadership Award went to Realtor Kim Rogina who has worked tirelessly for MCAR, and has gone above and beyond in supportive efforts without being asked to do so. The award was presented by last year’s winner Mary Camper.

Realtor of the Year went to Moe Jawad of the Keller Williams Property Team. He was honored for his outstanding dedication and service to MCAR. The award was presented by last year’s winner Ranjeet Singh.

The President’s Award went to Skip Hinman of Coldwell Banker Premier Real Estate. Hinman, a past MCAR president, has served as a mentor and advisor to the MCAR presidency.

In turn, Mary Camper and Ranjeet Singh were honored for their leadership roles as MCAR presidents over the past few years, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.

MCAR Executive Syreeta Bolton received a round of applauds for her service to the organization and day-to-day operations.
