Arbor Gallery in downtown Merced welcomes new photographer
Arbor Gallery welcomes Denice Loria Woyski, a photographer, as the organization’s newest artist member.
A native Californian, born and raised in Southern California, Denice Loria Woyski, has been taking pictures since she was a child, and has been a serious photographer since 2002.
As a former chemist and professional wedding and portrait photographer, Denice has gone back to her photographic roots since moving to the Sierra Foothills and the Central Valley in 2014.
As a chemist, Denice spent many years thinking at the molecular level which has translated to an instinctive approach to viewing the world around her as the parts that make up the whole. Fascinated with Film Noir, black and white photography, street photography and how light and shadow shape the world we see, Denice has blended all of this into a natural union of her passions and a photographic study of the fleeting magic of light and how it illuminates the details of our world.
Woyski is currently the Arbor Gallery Artist of the Month, and her photography is on display inside the gallery.
Arbor Gallery is currently looking for new artists who would like to display and sell their work. Any artists that would like to be considered, should come into the gallery, pick up an application and talk with one of our artists about the requirements to join our co-op artists gallery.
The themed hallway “Close to Home” began in May, in addition to all new art in the gallery on display through July.
