Arbor Gallery Artists Take Home Blue Ribbons

Eight local artists from the Arbor Gallery in downtown Merced competed in Fine Arts and Photography divisions at the recent Merced County Fair.

They were Jackie Anderson, Laura Eckman, Tonia Hemme, Carole Kamerer, Pope Lawrence, Donna Wayman- Maurer, Karen McComb and Rose Tripp.

Together, they earned 42 first place ribbons, 16 second place ribbons, and seven third place ribbons.

All of these ribbon-winning artists and many more local artists have their fine art on display at Arbor Gallery at 645 W. Main Street, Merced, inside the Multicultural Arts Center.

The gallery is open to the public and there is no cost to come in and enjoy the art. An artist is always available to answer questions or to share information about upcoming events.

The gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; closed Monday and Tuesday. Contact Arbor Gallery by phone at (209) 384-8338.
